"Miraculous" is the name dedicated by the faithful to the Madonna of Taggia: it is said that in 1855 the eyes of the statue of the Virgin moved and the eyelids closed, while the statue took on the color of a living person. The episode, which happened in front of numerous people gathered in prayer on the occasion of the Immaculate Conception, was considered a miracle.
