Description
Jerusalem nard oil. This amber ointment, used as an intensely
aromatic and very thick perfume, was considered a luxury in ancient Egypt and
was used by the Israelite people at the time of Moses. The Gospel refers that
Mary of Bethany used an extraordinary quantity of it during a meal in Bethany
to anoint Jesus' feet and dry them with her hair.
