The representation of Jesus birth is commonly called Nativity Scene. In the Gospel books by Luke and Matthew we find the story of Our Lord’s birth in a cave, when Herod the Great was king. At the beginning the Nativity Scene only represented only Baby Jesus, Mary and St. Joseph.
